NEW! Nivea Deodorant

Okay, I hear what you're saying, 'what's so special about a deodorant?' Well for regular deodorants, not much. For deodorants that evade white marks on black clothing; for deodorants that prevent yellowing on white tops; for deodorants that collaborate with a major fashion brand to run an exclusive dress-winning competition for 50 winners a week...quite a lot!

The most amazing burger canape
Last night I went to the launch of the new Nivea Invisible for Black and White Deodorant at the Soho Hotel. As it was Shrove Tuesday, there was a very swish pancake bar with an array of fillings. On top of that were scrummy canapes - I wolfed down a mini hamburger so quickly I almost choked!

As for the product itself, not only is it a welcome bonus that the deodorant protects against those pesky chalky-white marks on black clothes (please see my helpful demonstration above), but this is the first deodorant to stop yellowing on white clothes. Now I'm sure I'm not alone in having had to bin beloved vest tops and tees because of this permanent yellow staining - a result of deodorant, sweat and washing detergent.

I guess it will take me a while to test this side of the deodorant but as for its white-on-black protection, it's a winner! I'm wearing the 'Pure' roll-on, £2.03, the 'Pure' spray, £2.03, under one arm and for the purposes of scent-investigation, the 'Clear' spray, £2.03, under the other. I have to say the fresh and airy 'Pure' fragrance is my favourite.

The sheer black mini dress - my pick!
And on top of a great product, the brand have collaborated with clothes crush ASOS to design a limited edition capsule collection of 4 black and white dresses. FYI the dresses are not for sale - you can't get much more exclusive than that! The brands will be running a competition from 18th April to 31st May, with 50 winners each week (O.M.G) winning the entire collection (O.M.F.G...that's 4 dresses!). To enter (and I suggest you do), all you have to do is visit www.asos.com/nivea, enter your name, size, etc and style up the 4 dresses!

The white bubble dress
To mark the collaboration with ASOS, we watched the classic 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' with champagne and popcorn, of course! What a great launch! The competition runs from 18th April and the deodorants are rolling into stores as we speak! Sx

  1. Finally a non yellowing product. Perhaps my white blouses will escape the constant bleaching they usually get. Living in a hot climate, I have spent a fortune on white tops that have to be binned a few months later.
