Purple Reign

Bourjois launches their holiday makeup range mid November, but having seen a sneak peek at the range, I couldn't wait to spill. A palette of purples, blacks and glowy nudes are the order of the day this Christmas, with the Smoky Eyes Trio Eyeshadow in Violet Romantic, £6.99 (Boots) taking centre stage. I tried the Liner Feutre in Ultra Black, £5.99, and the So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Polish in Violine Chic, £5.50.
The liner comes in felt-tip form, for foolproof application. Flicks are easy to perfect, plus there's no need to wipe off the excess, as with traditional liquid liners. The downside of felt tip liners is the colour: it never seems to be jet-black.

The deep purple polish, however, is right up my street. Although not a colour for lazy girls (two coats are a must), the end result is a gorgeous high-gloss plum. The reason I love Bourjois nail polishes so much, though, is the brush. It seems to fan out effortlessly so you end up with a neat, even, streak-free result.
