Try a Trend...Colour Clash

I loved the idea of teaming pink eyeshadow with cutesy mint nail colour but wasn't convinced it would be a flattering look. Pale turquoise polish, fine (FYI, this looks great with a tan) but I feared pink eyeshadow would look more druggie than dreamy. I was wrong. Perhaps it's a look that would be too overpowering on those with pale eyes but on hazel or brown eyes it's a winner. This colour came from an old palette but in the past I've used Barry M Dazzle Dust in Cherry Red, £4.59, which works well.

You'll need to layer the colour on to make sure the hue stands out - this is not a wishy-washy look. Restrict the colour to the upper lid, below the crease. Any higher and this could veer into black eye territory. Add a slick of black liquid liner and a couple of coats of mascara.

For the nails, I used Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green, £2.99. It does need at least two coats but the end result is more than worth it. Sx

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE! When could I pull off wearing it though? :D xx

  2. haha, good point, I'd fit right in there :D xx
