A few weeks ago I dicovered Shiseido's Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Balancing Softener, £41 (0207 313 4774) at the launch for the brand's new summer collection. This hard-working toner is swept over cleansed skin with a cotton pad, before moisturising. Not only does it have anti-aging benefits in its own right (FYI, that includes a Hyaluronic-Complex, which acts as a moisture magnet for skin, and radiance-boosting plant extract Chlorella), it also helps prepare the skin to make it more receptive to your regular moisturiser.
The scent is light and summery, and it gets deep down into pores for a thorough cleanse - if you like to see visual evidence of how well your products clean your skin, you won't be disappointed with the post-soften cotton pad results of this. I've been using it for a week now and the difference in noticeable - my skin feels plump and touchably soft. No wonder it's one of the brand's hero products.
